Job summary

InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi is seeking an energetic Bellperson to warmly welcome residents and guests, assist with luggage, and provide information to create a smooth, memorable stay.

You will coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping and other teams, maintain luggage storage areas, help guests with transportation, and uphold high-service standards in our luxury residence, with flexible shifts and professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a bell/porter role in luxury hospitality.
• Experience in a serviced residence or high-end hotel is a plus.
• Strong guest-service orientation and professional demeanor.

We are currently looking for an energetic, friendly, and service-oriented Bellperson to join our team at InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

As a Bellperson, you will be one of the first and last points of contact for our residents and guests. From offering a warm welcome on arrival to assisting with luggage and providing helpful information, you will play an important role in creating a smooth and memorable experience.

• Welcoming residents and guests warmly upon arrival and assisting them during departure.
• Handling, transporting, and storing luggage safely and efficiently.
• Escorting residents and guests to their residence and providing an introduction to the facilities and services available.
• Assisting with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
• Coordinating closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, Security, and other departments to ensure smooth arrivals and departures.
• Assisting residents and guests with transportation arrangements, taxis, directions, and general enquiries.
• Delivering messages, packages, newspapers, amenities, and other items to residences promptly and professionally.
• Maintaining an organized and secure luggage storage area.
• Recognizing returning residents, VIPs, and regular guests and providing a personalized welcome whenever possible.
• Anticipating resident and guest needs and proactively offering assistance.
• Supporting the team during busy arrival and departure periods, group movements, and special events.
• Maintaining good knowledge of the Residences' facilities, services, dining options, and the surrounding area.
• Ensuring the entrance, lobby, and bell desk areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Handling resident and guest belongings with care, professionalism, and respect at all times.
• Following all safety, security, and hotel procedures.
• Maintaining professional grooming and presentation standards.
• Demonstrating IHG values through positive and genuine interactions with residents, guests, and colleagues.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience as a Bellperson, Bell Attendant, Porter, or in a similar guest-facing hospitality role.
• Experience within a luxury hotel, serviced residence, or high-end hospitality environment would be an advantage.
• A warm, friendly, and professional personality.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for guest service and creating memorable experiences.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to anticipate resident and guest needs.
• Good knowledge of Abu Dhabi and its key attractions and destinations would be an advantage.
• The ability to handle luggage and perform the physical requirements of the role safely.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Good command of English; additional languages would be an advantage.
