Job summary

Jumeirah Beach Hotel, a flagship property of Jumeirah, seeks a Bartender - Food & Beverage to join our Dubai-based team. You will deliver personalised bar service, upsell beverages, and maintain brand standards while ensuring guest satisfaction during every shift.

Requirements include 1-2 years bartending experience, a high school diploma, basic Food Hygiene training, and fluent English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, with opportunities for growth within a luxury hospitality

Responsibilities

• Identify guests’ needs and provide bar services with bespoke recommendations.
• Serve beverages per defined standards and adjust to license requirements.
• Mix cocktails and drinks according to recipes and quality standards.
• Process, register and settle all drink transactions accurately.
• Set up the bar with visuals, merchandise, and cleanliness.
• Perform opening/closing and cleaning duties as per checklists.
• Monitor expiration dates and store perishable garnishes properly.

About the Job

An exciting opportunity hasarisen for a Bartender - Food & Beverage to join Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Identify and meet guests’ needs, provide appropriate bar services, and assist guests in recommendations, upselling where appropriate to provide knowledgeable and bespoke service
• Serve beverages according to defined standards and measures (according to local license agreements)
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks according to beverage recipes
• Ensure all drinks transactions are processed, registered, and settled
• Setup the bar appropriately, ensuring the visuals and merchandise are placed appropriately.
• Undertake opening, closing & cleaning tasks as detailed on checklists
• Ensure the checking of expiration dates and that all perishable garnishes are stored and recorded in designated storage area
• Adopt a responsible attitude towards serving of alcoholic beverages, to ensure safe consumption in line with group policy and regulatory requirements

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 1 - 2 years bartending experience preferably within the international hospitality industry.
• High school diploma and basic Food and Hygiene Training.
• Passion for delivering personalized guest experiences and maintaining the highest service standards.
• Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling guest requests and service recovery.
