Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a friendly and professional waiter to greet guests, present menus, take orders, and ensure high standards of service in a busy Abu Dhabi restaurant.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a customer-focused attitude. Experience in cafés or as a barista is a plus, with flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Previous knowledge of food safety and beverage preparation is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous waiter or hospitality experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and explain food and beverage items when required.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages according to company standards.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and maintained throughout service.
• Check regularly with guests to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle guest requests, questions, and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Process bills and payments accurately when required.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens, promotions, and daily specials.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, health, and safety procedures.
• Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and preparation duties.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen, bar, hostess, and management teams.
• Upsell menu items and beverages when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
