Job summary

InterContinental Dubai Marina Hotel & Residences – Barista is a luxury hotel role based in Dubai. You will prepare and serve coffee and beverages, delivering exceptional service and building guest relationships in a high‑end environment.

• At least 2–4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a high‑end environment.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to connect with guests and team members.

• Ability to work well within a team, supporting colleagues and adapting to a variety of tasks with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee, espresso‑based beverages, teas, and specialty drinks, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
• Deliver exceptional service by building genuine guest relationships, anticipating preferences, and creating memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.
• Actively promote and upsell signature beverages, seasonal offerings, pastries, and other menu items to maximize guest satisfaction and achieve revenue targets.
• Demonstrate in‑depth knowledge of all beverage and food offerings, confidently recommending products tailored to each guest's tastes and preferences.
• Ensure consistency in beverage quality, taste, presentation, and service excellence, reflecting the luxury standards of the hotel.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and barista equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing service interruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, proactively communicating replenishment requirements to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock inventory, and food safety standards.
• Comply with all food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and health & safety regulations while consistently maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Build guest loyalty by recognizing returning guests, remembering preferences where appropriate, and promoting hotel dining experiences, loyalty programs, and special promotions to drive repeat business.
• Collaborate closely with the Food & Beverage team to identify opportunities for increased sales, guest engagement, and continuous improvement in service delivery.
