Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is seeking a Barback to join the Netsu - Bar team, supporting the bar’s operations in a luxury setting.

With a minimum of two years in a five-star hotel, you will organize stations, prepare garnishes and maintain glassware, while delivering attentive guest service and upholding MO policies.

Arabic language skills are preferred and MO benefits await the right candidate.

As Barback, Netsu - Bar, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• It is part of your role to understand and comply with all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
• MO Code of Conduct requires that all business activities and business decisions comply with the general law, with all rules, regulations, and other requirements.
• Organizing and shelving beverages before opening of the bar.
• Preparing juices, other mixes and garnishes needed for the operation.
• Monitoring the stations and re-stocking items as needed.
• Wiping glassware, utensils and equipment needed for the operation.
• You shall take all reasonable steps to safeguard stored information, and not divulge or otherwise transfer any personal data concerning the guests, customers or colleagues, or any confidential information concerning the hotel unless with the appropriate authority.
• Use of the hotel’s network, computers or internet access which is in the hotel’s view unreasonable or inappropriate, for example gambling, chatroom, or pornographic material, is a serious breach of hotel policy and grounds for summary dismissal.
• Support and adhere to all policies & procedures relating to Safe, Sound and
• Sustainable at Mandarin Oriental.
• Ensure compliance with the MO Social Media Policy, i.e. to be fully responsible for the content you publish on any social media platform, including your personal site.

As Barback, Netsu - Bar, We Expect From You

• High School qualification or equivalent.

• Knowledge in bar operation is a must.

• Proven ability to successfully support the management to motivate and lead a diverse team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office is a plus.
• Ability to understand effective approaches of communication with different individuals.
• Verbal and written communication skills in Arabic or other languages are preferred.
• Ability to oversee a large and complex area and to work in an outdoor environment in a hot climate.
