Job summary

InterContinental Abu Dhabi is seeking a friendly Bar Attendant to join our Food & Beverage team. You will welcome guests, assist bartenders, and ensure flawless service in a vibrant hotel setting.

You will maintain cleanliness, stock bar items, know the beverage menu, and support opening/closing duties and events. A service-driven mindset and attention to detail are essential to deliver memorable guest experiences in line with our standards.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests warmly and providing friendly, attentive, and professional service.
• Assisting bartenders with the preparation and service of beverages as required.
• Preparing and maintaining the bar area before, during, and after service.
• Ensuring glassware, equipment, garnishes, and other bar supplies are clean, organized, and readily available.
• Replenishing beverages, ice, glassware, and other bar items throughout the shift.
• Serving beverages and taking guest orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with hotel standards.
• Having a good understanding of the beverage menu and being able to assist guests with general recommendations.
• Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly to requests.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across the bar, service areas, and equipment at all times.
• Supporting stock checks and ensuring products are stored correctly and handled carefully.
• Working closely with bartenders, servers, kitchen colleagues, and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient service.
• Following all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and responsible beverage service requirements.
• Assisting with opening and closing duties and supporting special events or functions when required.
