Job summary

Talent Arabia (Hiring for a Banking Client) in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Systems Administrator specializing in UNIX, Linux, and enterprise storage to support mission-critical banking applications. You will manage UNIX/Linux servers, storage arrays, DR plans, and automation to ensure high availability and compliance across banking technology environments.

The role requires 5–10 years in UNIX/Linux administration within a banking or financial services setting, strong scripting skills, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
5-10 years hands-on UNIX/Linux Systems Administration experience.
Banking or Financial Services industry experience (Mandatory).
Strong Linux administration expertise in enterprise environments.
Experience with SAN/NAS storage, LVM, backups and DR planning.
Strong scripting/automation skills (Shell/Bash).
Knowledge of security hardening and compliance practices.
Excellent documentation and operational support skills.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain UNIX/Linux server environments supporting banking operations.
Manage storage resources, LVM, SAN/NAS environments.
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; perform tuning.
Implement security hardening and compliance controls.
Oversee backup, restoration, and disaster recovery processes.
Develop shell scripts and automation solutions.
Troubleshoot OS, storage, and infrastructure issues.
Collaborate with IT teams during incident management.
