Job summary

voco Dubai Palm The Palm is seeking a bakery/kitchen professional to join our culinary team in Dubai. You will prepare bakery products, follow recipes, maintain quality, and support HACCP standards to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Two years in bakery with at least one year in a similar role, knowledge of bakery and pastry, strong HACCP background, and excellent communication and teamwork are essential. We offer career development, staff discounts, and a great work culture.

Qualifications

• Two years related bakery experience with at least one year in the same position.
• Knowledge of bakery and pastry.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and application.
• Good practical, operational and administrative skills.
• A true “team-player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery products such as bread, rolls, Danish, croissants, muffins, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Follow standard recipes, production schedules, and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure all food items are prepared in accordance with portion and quality standards.
• Train personnel in area of responsibility according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the highest food quality and controls for all food products served in all areas.
• Share responsibility for storing procedures, food orders, food cost, equipment, sanitation and hygiene with the Stewarding team.
• Comply with health, sanitation and safety standards in food handling and cleanliness.
• Ensure menus, recipes, methods, pictures and specifications are followed exactly.
• Attend required training related to HACCP and other subjects.
