Job summary

Shamal Holding is seeking a B2 Engineer to join Skydive Dubai in our Aviation Team. You will perform, certify, and supervise maintenance on aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance under GCAA CAR 145 rules.

The role requires holding a CAR 66 B2 license and relevant DHC-6 type ratings, with at least 3 years in CAR 145 environments. You will coordinate with Planning, CAMO, Quality, Logistics and Operations, supervising technicians and supporting AOG recoveries.

Qualifications

• Valid GCAA CAR 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance License is required.
• Must hold relevant aircraft type ratings (DHC-6-200/300/400 with PT6A-34).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a CAR 145 approved maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft systems.
• Troubleshoot and rectify mechanical, electrical, avionics, and aircraft system defects.
• Certify maintenance activities within the scope of B2 authorizations.
• Carry out inspections, testing, troubleshooting, modifications, and functional checks.
• Review and complete maintenance work packs, task cards, technical records, and logbook entries.
• Ensure compliance with GCAA CAR 145 requirements, manufacturer manuals, approved data, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with Planning, CAMO, Quality, Logistics, and Operations teams.
• Supervise technicians and maintenance personnel during maintenance activities.
• Support AOG recovery, aircraft defect investigations, and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and release aircraft to service where authorized.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.

The role requires holding B2 (Avionics) licenses and exercising certification privileges within the scope of approved authorizations.

Preferred Educational Qualifications And Professional Certifications

• Valid GCAA CAR 66 B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licenses
• Relevant aircraft type rating(s) as required (De Havilland DHC-6-200/300/ 400 series with Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34)
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a CAR 145 approved maintenance environment.
