Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) seeks an experienced professional to establish and execute a Group-wide Compliance Assurance function. The role develops a risk-based testing plan and conducts reviews to verify adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, escalating material non-compliance to senior management.

The candidate will lead testing activities, coordinate with UAE departments, and contribute to firm-wide best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in management, banking or finance; preferred with compliance/corporate governance/risk management/internal audit certifications.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a reputed bank or auditing firm; at least 2 years in compliance monitoring/testing or auditing.
• Certification in compliance, corporate governance, risk management or internal audit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing reviews within the Group.
• Support in the development of the UAE testing plan, testing schedules and working papers.
• Consult with relevant UAE departments to ensure coverage and targeted reviews.
• Execute Compliance testing reviews (desk/thematic) per testing plan and procedure, including control design assessment and operational effectiveness testing.
• Prepare testing reports and track remediation activity.
• Contribute to evolving testing methodologies and best practices across local and global teams.
• Upload issues identified on the Compliance issue management system.
• Support team members on ad hoc tasks.
