Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, Technical Lead to set the technical direction for a squad embedded in the business. You will sit with stakeholders to understand the problem, design, build, deploy and run agentic AI systems end-to-end in aviation contexts.

This hands‑on leadership role requires deep expertise in GenAI, LLMs, MCP fabric and secure, scalable architectures. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with POs and AI Architects, and shape reusable patterns for

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production‑grade software and AI/ML systems.
• Hands‑on experience with GenAI, LLMs and agentic AI.
• Strong Python and at least one of TypeScript/Java/JS/C#.
• Experience with APIs, cloud deployment, containers, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Set engineering direction for agentic AI projects.
• Design, build, deploy and operate enterprise‑scale AI agents.
• Integrate agents with tools, APIs and data sources.
• Develop RAG pipelines including ingestion, embeddings and retrieval.
