Job summary

IPS (Innovation Platform Solutions) in Dubai seeks an AV Technical Support Engineer with 3–5 years of AV/IT experience to be the technical contact for partners and customers. You will support pre-sales and post-sales activities, troubleshoot AV/UC systems, and help deliver successful projects across the region.

You will configure and test AV, conferencing and control systems, assist with demonstrations, review designs for accuracy, and travel within the UAE/GCC as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on AV/IT experience in distribution, integration or manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AV-over-IP, networking, audio DSP, video conferencing and control systems.
• Experience with products from leading AV and UC manufacturers and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent English communication skills and willingness to travel within UAE/GCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line technical support to system integrators, resellers and end users.
• Configure, test and troubleshoot AV, video conferencing, audio DSP and control systems.
• Support sales with product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and technical presentations.
• Review BoQs and system designs for technical accuracy and compatibility.
• Assist partners with on-site commissioning, site surveys and fault-finding as needed.
• Manage RMA cases and coordinate with manufacturers to resolve issues.
• Deliver product training to partners and internal teams.
• Maintain demo equipment and keep firmware/software up to date.
• Document support cases, solutions and knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering or a related field
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in AV/IT, ideally with a distributor, integrator or manufacturer
• Solid understanding of AV-over-IP, networking (IP addressing, VLANs, multicast, QoS), audio DSP, video conferencing and control systems
• Hands‑on experience with products from leading AV and UC manufacturers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Able to travel within the UAE and occasionally across the GCC

Preferred

• AVIXA CTS or AV manufacturer certifications
• Arabic language skills
• Valid UAE driving license
