Job summary

TradesApp is seeking an In-Vehicle Safety Operator to support the safe testing and operation of autonomous vehicles in real-world road environments. The successful candidate will work directly with autonomous vehicles during testing and operational activities, ensuring tasks are conducted safely, accurately and per established procedures.

The role requires strong attention to road safety, clear reporting and teamwork with engineering and operations teams in Dubai, UAE.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive operations, vehicle testing, transportation, fleet operations or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong awareness of road safety and safe driving practices.
• Comfortable working with new technology and autonomous vehicle systems.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to follow detailed operational and safety procedures.
• Responsible, safety-conscious and able to remain focused during vehicle operations.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate within autonomous vehicles during real-world road testing and operational activities.
• Support hardware and software update testing.
• Conduct road testing and routine road-running activities.
• Support operational testing and autonomous vehicle validation activities.
• Participate in special experience and demonstration sessions.
• Support VIP vehicle experience activities where required.
• Assist with cloud-cabin and connected vehicle testing.
• Identify and report operational or safety concerns during vehicle activities.
• Follow established safety procedures and operational instructions at all times.
• Coordinate with operational and technical teams to ensure testing activities are completed safely.
