Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a Solutions Architect for Automotive in the United Arab Emirates. The role blends automotive expertise with Linux, embedded systems, and software development to design solutions for customers and partners. It includes presales, demonstrations, POCs, and selective project delivery.

You will collaborate with specialists across cloud, Kubernetes, security, safety, and embedded technologies to deliver comprehensive automotive solutions and influence market directions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive automotive experience and domain knowledge.
• Strong Linux experience with Debian/Ubuntu preferred.
• Embedded Linux exposure, Yocto and/or RTOS experience.
• Programming/scripting in Go, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
• Understanding of low-level Linux boot processes, BIOS, and embedded software development.
• Excellent English communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel up to ~30% for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Engage with automotive customers during presales to understand requirements and explain technologies.
• Act as trusted technical advisor for open-source platforms in automotive use cases.
• Collaborate with cloud, Kubernetes, security, safety, and embedded teams to craft solutions.
• Participate in Embedded Linux projects including demos, prototypes, and POCs.
• Translate market needs into actionable insights for engineering and product teams.
• Develop reusable technical solutions addressing automotive market opportunities.
• Support software-defined vehicles and cloud-enabled embedded environments.
• Communicate complex concepts to technical and business audiences.
