Job summary

Amazon UAE in Dubai seeks an Associate Corporate Counsel - Real Estate to lead real estate transactions and regulatory guidance across the Middle East, North Africa, Türkiye, and South Africa. You will draft and negotiate complex leases and development agreements for rapid expansion, including dark stores and micro-fulfillment sites.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, crossed-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple high-value projects under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with at least 3 years post-bar admission experience.
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Transactional real estate, construction, leasing experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Strong understanding of commercial leases and acquisition structures.
• Ability to manage multiple complex transactions under deadlines.
• Experience advising on construction or development agreements.
• Regional experience in MENA or related markets is beneficial.
• Experience combining private practice and in-house work is preferred.
• Arabic or Turkish language capability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for site acquisition and expansion across regional markets.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases for dark stores, delivery hubs, and other facilities.
• Negotiate third-party services agreements supporting site development, operation, and launch.
• Manage high-volume property acquisition pipelines with compressed deadlines.
• Develop practical legal solutions amid changing site models or deal structures.
• Draft and negotiate broader real estate agreements, including leases, purchase contracts, and development agreements.
• Advise on construction contracts, fit-out, and related service packages.
• Review provisions covering delivery schedules, warranties, liabilities, and termination rights.
• Support compliance with local planning, licensing, zoning, and real-estate requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on regional expansion projects.
