Job summary

Modon is seeking an Associate - Asset Management to oversee and optimise the performance of MODON Hospitality's hotel portfolio through financial analysis, market intelligence and targeted insights. The role collaborates with Asset Management leadership, hotel operators and internal stakeholders to monitor performance against business plans and drive profitability and asset value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Real Estate or related discipline
• Advanced Excel and financial-modelling skills, with strong PowerPoint capability
• Good understanding of hotel financial statements, USALI, budgeting, forecasting and performance metrics
• Familiarity with STR, Fairmas, Power BI or comparable tools is desirable
• GCC and/or European experience is desirable but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Analyse monthly operational and financial performance against Budget, Forecast, prior year and market benchmarks, highlighting material variances, risks and opportunities
• Review hotel P&Ls, departmental results and KPIs including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, flow-through, margins and GOP/EBITDA
• Assess operator initiatives and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to Asset Management leadership
• Support annual Budget, Forecast and business-plan reviews, challenging assumptions against historical trends and market positioning
• Support feasibility studies, financial modelling, investment analysis and other strategic portfolio initiatives
• Monitor commercial, operational, cost-efficiency, CAPEX and FF&E initiatives against approved plans
• Prepare accurate portfolio reports, presentations and analysis for business reviews, management committees and Group reporting
• Maintain reporting templates, dashboards and trackers, improving reporting quality and efficiency
• Coordinate with operators and internal stakeholders to obtain information and follow agreed actions through to closure
• Maintain complete and logically organised records, reports and supporting documentation in approved systems

Working with Asset Management leadership, hotel operators and internal stakeholders, the role monitors performance against approved business plans and supports initiatives that improve profitability, asset value and long-term portfolio performance.

Roles, Responsibilities, Duties

Performance Analysis and Asset Oversight

• Analyse monthly operational and financial performance against Budget, Forecast, prior year and market benchmarks, highlighting material variances, risks and opportunities

Experience and Competencies

• Minimum 3-5 years in hotel asset management, hospitality consulting, hotel finance, revenue management, investment analysis or a comparable analytical role.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with excellent attention to detail


• Commercial judgement and confidence to challenge assumptions constructively


• Clear communication and strong presentation skills


• Ability to manage priorities, own deadlines and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
