Job summary

You will support sales leadership, coordinate team activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and help reach revenue targets while building strong client relationships and cross-selling across business units.

You'll mentor junior staff, monitor performance, deliver training, and keep up with product knowledge, market trends, and regulatory requirements to maximize customer value in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in banking, financial services, or collections.
• Experience managing campaigns across multiple product lines (cards, loans, mortgages).
• Experience in regulated environments with compliance and audit exposure is preferred.
• Experience in the UAE or GCC banking sector is advantageous.

About the role:

As an Assistant Team Leader you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, managing customer relationships, and promoting Personal Banking products through corporate partnerships and direct sales channels. The role also supports sales leadership in coordinating team activities, implementing effective sales strategies, and ensuring the achievement of business objectives and revenue targets.

What You Will Be Doing

• Promote and drive the sales of Personal Banking products, including Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Payroll Accounts, and other cross-sell products, within the assigned region and target markets.
• Achieve budgeted sales targets for both primary and secondary products in line with approved business plans and budgets.
• Conduct sales promotions, corporate presentations, group meetings, roadshows, and customer engagement activities to maximize business acquisition and achieve sales objectives.
• Manage and deliver assigned sales targets while actively identifying opportunities to cross-sell products and services from other business units.
• Ensure strict adherence to all applicable compliance, CPF, regulatory, and internal policy requirements when dealing with customers.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's products, services, policies, and processes to effectively address customer needs and recommend suitable financial solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and sales practices, and provide recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness and customer acquisition strategies.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethical sales practices by ensuring fair treatment of customers and avoiding misspelling, forced selling, inaccurate information, or unrealistic commitments.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to promote retention, customer satisfaction, and long-term business growth.

b) Team

• Act as a delegate for the Team Leader during their absence, ensuring continuity of day-to-day sales operations and team performance.
• Manage and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the absence of the Team Leader.
• Support the Team Leader in the development, execution, and monitoring of sales plans and strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Assist in tracking team performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing initiatives to enhance productivity and sales effectiveness.
• Ensure all mandatory training programs, compliance requirements, certifications, and departmental deliverables are completed by team members within stipulated timelines.
• Support the development and coaching of underperforming team members through on-the-job training, joint client visits, mentoring, and business development activities.
• Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture by sharing best practices, providing guidance, and promoting teamwork across the sales team.
• Perform any additional duties or responsibilities assigned by management to support departmental efficiency, operational excellence, and business growth.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as specialist within a banking, financial services, or collections environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing collections campaigns across multiple product lines (credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, mortgages).
• Experience working in a regulated environment with exposure to compliance and audit requirements is strongly preferred.
• Experience in the UAE or GCC banking sector is an advantage.
