Job summary

Rotana Hotels in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Assistant Stewarding Manager to assist in directing a team that upholds high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all stewarding operations.

Based at Park Rotana & Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi, you will supervise stewarding staff, coordinate with management on daily requirements, and ensure efficient, cost-conscious operations while maintaining excellent guest service and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in hospitality with experience in the Stewarding Department within a hotel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership for the stewarding operation.
• Supervise duties of stewarding staff, facilities and costs.
• Oversee sanitation, hygiene and product/service quality.
• Ensure proper use of chemicals and washing accessories.
• Coordinate par stocks and storeroom requisitions with the Stewarding Manager.
• Coordinate with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager on daily requirements.
• Maintain health inspection and attendance records for casual staff.
• Take actions to reduce loss of silverware/flatware.

Job Description

We are currently seeking for dynamic, and self motivated Food & Beverage professionals who assist to organize and direct a team that develops top quality of food & beverage products, with prompt, accurate and personalized service.

This position is based at Park Rotana & Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi.

As an Assistant Stewarding Manager, you are responsible to assist the Stewarding Manager to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, as well as the operating equipment and your role will include key responsibilities such as-

• Provide functional assistance and direction and be responsible for the smooth running of the whole stewarding operation
• Supervise the duties of all stewarding department employees, facilities, operation and costs
• Supervise the sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene as well as the quality level of product and services
• Check more specifically the proper use of chemicals and washing accessories
• Coordinate with the Stewarding Manager in establishing minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies and approve storeroom requisition
• Co-ordinate with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements for the day and the next day
• Maintain health inspection record, attendance record and file on casual employees
• Take all necessary actions to reduce the loss of silverware / flatware

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally have a degree in hospitality with previous experiences in the Stewarding Department within a hotel. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities are essentials.
