Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking an Assistant Revenue Manager to join our Reservations Department and support Revenue Management through proactive analysis and decision making. The role reports to the Director of Revenue Strategy and focuses on both strategic and tactical initiatives to maximize revenue.

Responsibilities include leading daily briefings, training the reservations and revenue teams, proactively managing inventory, and producing forecasts and reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business Administration, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Experience in hotel re-openings or renovations and familiarity with the Middle East region is considered an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3‑5 years’ experience in Revenue Management and prior experience with a PMS system.
  • Ability to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service with little input from others.
  • Perform job with attention to detail and the ability to organise and handle multiple tasks effectively.

  • Lead daily briefings with the reservations team and duty manager, ensuring smooth operations, prompt query resolution, and consistent communication across departments.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to the reservations and revenue teams, ensuring high standards, up-to-date product knowledge, and continuous team development.
  • Manage hotel inventory proactively to maximize revenue, implement pricing strategies aligned with brand guidelines, and support the Director of Revenue Strategy in revenue planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate daily, weekly, and monthly forecasts and reports, including transient and group business trends, market share evaluations, and revenue performance critiques.
  • Analyse booking patterns, pricing sensitivity, and market trends; monitor competitor activity and recommend strategic responses for demand-driving events or citywide occasions.
  • Ensure accuracy across all distribution channels and systems (e.g., GDS, OTA, IDeaS), manage reservation data integrity, and lead the rate loading and maintenance process.
