Job summary

Egis seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our Abu Dhabi team on mid-rise to high-rise building projects. You will work with the Resident Engineer to ensure quality, safety and technical excellence on site.

The role requires strong site supervision and coordination across multidisciplinary teams, with BIM coordination and familiarity with local authority procedures. UAE/GCC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Substantial experience in mid-rise to high-rise building projects with site supervision/construction management.
• Strong technical knowledge of structural and enabling works (shoring, dewatering, waterproofing, PT slabs, façades).
• Familiarity with ARE roles, construction documentation, inspections, authority requirements, and handover procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to review, assess, and monitor works across multiple disciplines.
• Strong managerial and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with BIM processes and construction coordination.
• UAE/GCC project experience and relevant professional certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities aligned with drawings, specs, and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections for quality, progress, safety, and compliance.
• Review drawings, specs, shop drawings, and construction methodologies.
• Coordinate activities among contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain site documentation and handover records.
