Assistant Resident Engineer, Electrical – Abu Dhabi

Job summary

Rawaj-HCM seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer to supervise construction activities on TAQA infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure adherence to drawings, specs, schedules, and QA/QC standards, with strong focus on HSE and contractor management.

Must hold a TAQA approval for AR Engineer and have proven TAQA-T/TAQA-D experience. Responsibilities include inspection coordination, document control, and resolving technical issues to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering required.
• Previous TAQA approval as Assistant Resident Engineer is mandatory.
• Proven experience in TAQA-T and/or TAQA-D projects.
• Experience in site supervision, construction inspections, QA/QC, HSE coordination and contractor management.
• Ability to review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs and inspection requests.
• Familiarity with TAQA standards, authority requirements and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and TAQA standards.
• Monitor contractors' performance, work progress, and adherence to project schedules and quality requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate inspection requests to verify compliance with approved designs and technical specifications.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and other technical submissions.
• Coordinate QA/QC activities and ensure non-conformities are identified, documented, and resolved.
• Monitor compliance with HSE requirements and coordinate with site personnel.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities to resolve technical issues and facilitate project execution.
• Maintain site records, inspection reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Identify construction challenges, escalate critical issues, and support timely resolution to minimize delays and rework.
• Ensure construction activities comply with TAQA-T and TAQA-D requirements and authority procedures.
