Job summary

Parsons seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil / Marine in Abu Dhabi to support daily supervision of civil and marine works, including dredging and reclamation. You will coordinate site engineers and inspectors, review method statements and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality and HSE standards.

The role requires a Civil or Marine Engineering degree and 12+ years of construction supervision experience on marine or waterfront projects in the UAE or Middle East.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Marine Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of construction supervision experience in civil and/or marine works.
• Experience with dredging, reclamation, marine edges and related infra works.
• Strong knowledge of supervision, inspection, quality and HSE requirements.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and construction methodologies.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil and marine construction activities, including dredging, reclamation and marine edges.
• Monitor Contractor activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, quality and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate engineers and inspectors undertaking site inspections and testing.
• Review method statements, technical submissions, materials, RFIs and inspection requests.
• Resolve day-to-day construction issues and coordinate interfaces between civil, marine and other disciplines.
• Monitor progress, identify constraints and report key issues to the Resident Engineer.
• Support quality, progress, site records, snagging and handover activities.

• UAE/Middle East construction supervision experience.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary site teams and Contractor activities.
