Job summary

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer (Marine) to lead day-to-day construction supervision for major Marine and environmental works in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure compliance with contract requirements, drawings/specifications, and HSE standards while coordinating with EAD for CEMP approvals.

You will direct site teams, review submittals, resolve technical issues with design engineers, and maintain thorough daily records to drive timely project delivery and safety on all marine

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years experience in construction supervision of marine projects.
• Strong understanding of contractual relationships and construction supervision processes.
• Proactive, solutions-driven approach with strong problem-solving capability.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with strong technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction supervision for Marine and environmental works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and drawings/specifications.
• Coordinate with Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD) to obtain CEMP approvals.
• Direct and manage supervision activities for Marine assets and structures.
• Supervise site team to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline Senior Resident Engineers for alignment on the project.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure correct on-site implementation.
• Maintain daily diary records and review daily reports; monitor progress and productivity.
• Coordinate with contractors on scheduling and resource deployment; identify risks and drive corrective actions.
• Advise on contractual and construction matters; ensure safety goals and safe work procedures across all activities.
• Provide on-site direction and issue site directions to ensure compliant execution and progress.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports for Marine and Environmental works.

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Resident Engineer (Marine) to join our team! In this role you will lead day-to-day construction supervision for major Marine and environmental works, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings/specifications and HSE standards.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Lead site supervision team assigned for Marine & Environmental works including (Temporary cofferdam System, Dredging and reclamation, pilling works, construction of seawalls, revetments and quay walls), and other associated works.
• Follow-up /coordination with the Environmental Agency Abu Dhabi (EAD) to ensure obtaining Project (CEMP) Construction Environmental Management Plan approvals.
• Direct and manage supervision activities for Marine key assets and associated structures.
• Supervise and coordinate the site supervision team (site engineers, inspectors, surveyors) to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with other discipline Senior Resident Engineers to maintain alignment across the project.
• Review contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, and technical proposals related to Marine & Environmental works.
• Coordinate with design engineers to resolve technical issues and ensure correct implementation on site.
• Maintain daily diary records and review daily reports from team members; monitor progress and productivity.
• Coordinate with contractors on scheduling and resource deployment; identify risks and drive corrective actions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring :

• Strong computer literacy for reporting, record keeping, and project systems.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) with strong technical writing skills.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring :

• Must have adequate experience in Marine & Environmental works including (Temporary cofferdam System, Dredging and reclamation, pilling works, construction of seawalls, revetments and quay walls), and other associated works.
• Strong stakeholder coordination capability across multi-discipline and multi-contractor environments.
• Able to attend physical interviews in Abu Dhabi.
• experence in GCC is an advantage.
