Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling technical, fiscal, commercial, and administrative project functions.
- Develop and monitor the scope of engineering work, schedules, budgets, and assigned project elements to support timely and cost‑effective delivery.
- Support day‑to‑day project management activities, ensuring alignment with project goals, client requirements, quality standards, and delivery milestones.
- Manage project‑related communications to maintain transparent, accurate, and timely information flow between clients, internal teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Identify, document, and track changes in project scope, then support coordination of related technical, contractual, and commercial information.
- Assist in defining procurement scope, schedules, budgets, and project buyout requirements while monitoring procurement progress against project needs.
- Interface with procurement and subcontract personnel to support bid processes, package coordination, and supplier communication.
- Coordinate project deliverables, ensuring timely submission and compliance with contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
- Work with Project Engineers to coordinate interdisciplinary technical personnel and ensure effective resource utilization across project activities.
- Coordinate personnel assignments from technical support groups to help meet project workload, skill, and schedule requirements.
- Assist in determining technical skills, staffing needs, and staff hours required for successful project completion.
- Ensure client criteria, project scope, and design requirements are properly communicated and followed by engineering disciplines.
- Expedite action items after client meetings, internal coordination sessions, and discussions with the Project Manager.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, project documentation, risk assessments, budget tracking summaries, and activity records for management and client review.
- Obtain, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to relevant project disciplines.
- Implement and monitor project quality management processes to ensure deliverables meet required standards, specifications, and client expectations.
- Support stakeholder engagement by helping manage expectations, communication flow, decision tracking, and project lifecycle coordination.
- Provide direction and support to project team members, promoting accountability, collaboration, problem solving, and continuous improvement.
- Apply suitable engineering software, digital tools, reporting systems, and project coordination platforms to improve delivery efficiency.
- Support sustainability and environmental impact requirements within infrastructure planning, reporting, and execution activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- 5-10 years of related field engineering experience or a broad general engineering background.
- Good understanding of project execution responsibilities and how project management decisions affect cost, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder confidence.
- Demonstrated ability to support infrastructure projects involving engineering coordination, design interfaces, deliverable tracking, procurement support, and project reporting.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to select and apply appropriate engineering and project‑related software for assigned project activities.
- Demonstrated potential to perform in a lead capacity, with the ability to guide, coordinate, and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical and project information clearly to different stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainability, environmental impact considerations, and infrastructure delivery requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive, solution‑oriented, and detail‑focused mindset.
- Familiarity with BIM and other digital tools used in infrastructure planning and execution is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to infrastructure project delivery is preferred.
- Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining accurate documentation, reliable communication, and professional coordination.
