This role requires proven experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef in a large luxury property; pre-opening experience is a plus, with strong leadership and hygiene focus in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an Assistant Pastry Chef
• Experience in a large luxury hotel environment preferred
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Oversee pastry and bakery operations to meet luxury standards and cost efficiency
• Develop, design, or create new pastry items for the pastry kitchen
• Follow proper handling and safe temperatures of all food products
• Maintain proper food preparation handling and storage standards
• Recognize and select high-quality products, presentations and flavors
• Assist the Pastry Chef with menu development and refinement
• Lead and develop the pastry team through training and coaching
• Ensure hygiene, safety and service excellence across the kitchen
• Collaborate to create refined menus and standardized recipes
