Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager - MEP to join our Dubai team. You will support pre- and post-contract cost management for MEP packages across major projects, coordinating with designers, engineers and clients to develop costs and manage risk.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc in quantity surveying or MEP, with experience in a global consultancy and strong commercial acumen. The role requires a proactive, well-organised team player ready to contribute to value engineering and cost

Qualifications

• BSc in quantity surveying or MEP related subject.
• Experience gained within a global consultancy firm.
• Pre- and post-contract MEP experience.
• Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
• A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Support the Cost Manager / Senior Cost Manager in delivering pre-contract cost management services for MEP packages across major building and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review cost plans, budgets, estimates, elemental cost analyses, and bills of quantities in accordance with project requirements.
• Assist with tender documentation, procurement strategy, tender analysis, and commercial evaluations, ensuring value for money and alignment with client objectives.
• Coordinate with designers, engineers, contractors, and client teams to develop MEP costs, identify cost risks, and provide commercially focused advice throughout design development.
• Contribute to value engineering, benchmarking, cost reporting, and risk management, using market knowledge and industry data to support informed client decision-making.
