Job summary

AURA Skypool is seeking an experienced Assistant Bar Manager to lead a high-volume beverage program at Dubai’s rooftop destination. You will oversee bartenders, drive consistency, manage stock and assist with peak service while stepping in during the Bar Manager’s absence.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a supervisory bar role, strong mixology knowledge and leadership skills to motivate a large team under pressure in a premium venue.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails and beverage preparation.
• Experience supervising a bar team in a high-volume venue.
• Knowledge of UAE licensing and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager in daily operations, opening and closing procedures and service flow.
• Supervise, train and motivate bartenders and barbacks on technique, speed and service standards.
• Ensure consistency in recipes, garnishing, glassware and beverage presentation.
• Manage stock ordering, par levels, inventory counts, wastage and beverage cost control.
• Assist with staff scheduling, shift briefings and performance feedback.
• Support the development of new cocktails, seasonal menus and promotions.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE licensing, responsible service, hygiene and safety regulations.

AURA Skypool is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to help lead bar operations at Dubai’s most talked-about rooftop destination. Set on the 50th floor of The Palm Tower and operated by Sunset Hospitality Group, AURA runs a high-volume, high-energy beverage programme across pool sessions, sundowners and evening service.

Reporting to the Bar Manager, you will supervise bartenders and barbacks, drive consistency in drink quality and presentation, manage stock and wastage, and step up to run the bar in the manager’s absence. You will also play a hands‑on role during peak service, leading from behind the bar. This position suits an experienced bar supervisor or assistant manager with strong mixology knowledge, commercial awareness and the leadership skills to keep a large team performing under pressure.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Support the Bar Manager in daily operations, opening and closing procedures and service flow

Requirements

• Strong mixology and beverage knowledge including spirits, wine and classic cocktails
• Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a bar team during peak service
• Solid understanding of stock control, costing and inventory systemsKnowledge of UAE food safety, hygiene and responsible-service regulations
• Excellent English communication and guest-facing presence
• Flexibility to work late nights, weekends and public holidays
