Job summary

Noor Safety Consultants LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, support daily accounting operations, and assist with invoicing, VAT documentation, and closings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payments and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and supplier/customer accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare payment vouchers and support monthly payroll processing.
• Maintain petty cash records and expense reports.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Support VAT documentation and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and properly maintained.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles good numerical and organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting daily accounting operations.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions


• Prepare and process invoices receipts payments and journal entries


• Reconcile bank statements and supplier customer accounts


• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable


• Prepare payment vouchers and support monthly payroll processing


• Maintain petty cash records and prepare expense reports


• Assist with monthly quarterly and annual financial closing activities


• Support VAT documentation calculations and financial reporting


• Maintain organized accounting files and financial documentation


• Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors regarding finance-related matters


• Ensure accounting records are accurate and properly maintained


• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Minimum 1 -2 years of experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar accounting role.


• Good knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial procedures.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.


• Familiarity with VAT documentation and accounting software is an advantage.


• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.


• Candidates with experience in a company’s finance or accounting department are preferred.


• Cashier-only experience or experience limited to retail shops will not be considered


• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
