Job summary

Manpower Professional is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive currency automation product sales across the Africa region, reporting directly to the Director Head of Sales-Africa / Middle East. The role requires extensive travel (60-70%) and collaboration with Sales Administration and Project Management.

Candidates should have 5+ years of direct sales experience, senior-level sales leadership, and fluency in English and French; additional Portuguese or Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of direct sales experience in Africa region.
• Senior Sales Manager level experience.
• Experience in banking or capital equipment sales is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with high-level decision makers.
• Fluency in English and French mandatory; Portuguese/Spanish advantageous.

Our client, a leading international technology provider is currently seeking to recruit Area Sales Manager. You will be directly reporting to the Director Head of Sales-Africa / Middle East

Scope and Purpose

• SALES of Currency Automation Products and Services in French African region in coordination with Director Head of Sales BNPO Africa / Middle East and in compliance with regional sales strategy
• Establish and maintain strong and firm relationship to customers
• Focus on triggering new sales opportunities, by finding appropriate solutions in our product mix, and packaging them in an offer to meet the customers’ requirements.
• Attend to the customer during the complete business cycle and follow up project milestones in close cooperation with Sales Administration and Project Management
• Monitor competitive activities, identify customer future needs in terms of product portfolio and currency automation solutions; build up a strong link to the Product Marketing / Management

Key Result Areas / Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned individual sales targets, as well as company objectives for the allocated sales area
• Liaise and negotiate with very high ranking public and private sector staff
• Close deals and sign sales and maintenance contracts with direct customers

• At least 5 years of direct sales experience for technical products in the Africa region
• Already sitting on a Senior Sales Manager position
• Preferably dealing already in special purpose machinery manufacturing business
• Experience with direct sales , ideally in banking related field or any capital equipment field
• To be au fait with high level decision makers
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Capability to listen, comprehend customer’s need and derive adequate technical and commercial solutions
• Advanced technical or business related degree
• Mature approach to business and understanding of core principals of key account management
• Fluency in written and spoken English / French is mandatory
• Language skills in Portuguese or Spanish are advantageous
• Candidate must be willing to travel extensively in all over the African region (about 60 to 70%)
