Job summary

HIRE Consultancy in Dubai is seeking an Architectural-Engineering Draftsman to produce accurate drawings and technical details for a range of projects. You will work under the BIM Coordinator and design leads to turn design intent into clear construction documentation.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of drafting experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, strong 2D drafting and 3D modelling skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architectural/Civil Engineering or related vocational qualification.
• Fluent English required; Arabic a plus.
• 2–4 years of drafting experience on architectural/engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update architectural and engineering drawings, details and schedules.
• Convert design sketches and markups into accurate CAD/BIM drawings.
• Coordinate drawings across disciplines to resolve basic clashes before issue.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and issue sheets.
• Check drawings for accuracy, scale and compliance with drafting standards.
• Support drawing issue, transmittals and as-built documentation.

HIRE Consultancy is partnering with our client, a building development company based in Dubai, as their retained recruitment agency to find an Architectural-Engineering Draftsman for their design team.

About the role

You'll prepare accurate architectural and engineering drawings and technical details for a range of building development projects, working under the direction of the BIM Coordinator, Project Manager and design leads to turn design intent into clear, coordinated construction documentation.

What you'll do

• Prepare and update architectural and engineering drawings, details and schedules
• convert design sketches and markups into accurate CAD/BIM drawings
• coordinate drawings across disciplines to resolve basic clashes before issue
• maintain drawing registers, revisions and issue sheets

What you'll bring

• Fluent English (Arabic a plus)
• diploma or degree in Architectural/Civil Engineering, Draughtsman ship or a related technical discipline
• 2–4 years' experience as a draftsman on architectural, engineering or interior fit-out projects
• proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, Autodesk (ACC)/BIM 360 a plus
