Stantec is looking for an Architectural Inspector to join our dynamic site team in Ras Al Khaimah.

Responsibilities

• Inspect site conditions before the start of construction activities.
• Verify the compatibility of the site with the designed permanent works.
• Check for obstructions.
• Photograph and document the condition of an existing property that the work might damage.
• Review materials delivered to site for conformance with approved samples, materials and equipment, and report findings.
• Check that materials delivered to site are appropriately stored and report discrepancies.
• Inspect the construction of temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with the Contract Documents and approved shop drawings and submittals.
• Prepare daily logs and reports, maintain records of inspections, tests performed, work executed, etc.; perform all work in accordance with the Contract Administration Procedures Manual.
• Observe site safety practices and the progress of the work; report any concerns.
• Assist with the inspection of completed works; help prepare punch lists; monitor start-up testing, commissioning, and handover of the works.
• Assist in the review of shop drawings and material submittals related to architectural and ID works.
• Perform all other duties given by the direct manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven (7) years' experience in a similar or equivalent position, with 3–4 years in the UAE.
• Construction Administration experience in consultancy firms and other Middle East building projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
• Review of drawings related to ID works and site inspection experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of building construction materials, systems, and trade practices.
• Computer proficiency.
