About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Design Architect to join their architectural design team. The role will be responsible for developing architectural designs across various project stages, from concept and schematic design through to detailed design and construction documentation.

The successful candidate will have strong architectural design capabilities, excellent technical knowledge and experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering consultants to deliver high-quality, coordinated design solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop architectural concepts and design proposals in line with project requirements, client briefs and design objectives.
• Produce and develop architectural designs from concept design through schematic, detailed design and construction documentation stages.
• Prepare architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, details and presentation materials.
• Develop design solutions while considering functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, cost and buildability.
• Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP and other engineering disciplines.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, specialist consultants and clients throughout the design process.
• Review and incorporate feedback from clients, authorities and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with relevant UAE building codes, regulations and authority requirements.
• Prepare design presentations, material palettes, drawings and documentation for client and authority submissions.
• Review architectural drawings and documentation produced by junior architects and CAD/BIM teams.
• Provide design direction and technical guidance to junior team members.
• Participate in client meetings, design workshops and internal coordination meetings.
• Assist with resolving design and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure architectural deliverables are completed to the required quality, scope and programme.
• Coordinate with the BIM/CAD team to ensure accurate and consistent production of architectural documentation.
• Maintain awareness of current architectural trends, materials, technologies and sustainable design practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 5–10+ years of professional architectural experience, preferably within an engineering and architectural consultancy.
• Proven experience working on large-scale architectural projects.
• Strong experience across multiple design stages, including concept, schematic, detailed design and tender/construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction techniques and building systems.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, particularly structural and MEP consultants.
• Good knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations and authority approval processes.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD/ REVIT/BIM
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
