Job summary

Confidentiel is seeking a qualified Architect with a strong background in building construction to join our Dubai team. The ideal candidate will manage architectural drawings, coordinate with consultants, engineers, and subcontractors, and ensure works align with approved plans and project requirements.

The role requires practical experience with main contractors, high-rise or commercial projects, and a solid working knowledge of AutoCAD; BIM/Revit is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in architecture and building construction.
• Experience with a main contractor/construction company is required.
• Experience on high-rise, residential, commercial, or building construction projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural construction methods, materials, and site practices.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Familiarity with BIM/Revit is required.
• Ability to read and understand architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong coordination, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE/GCC construction experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and coordinate architectural plans, drawings, and details for construction projects.
• Review approved drawings and ensure architectural works are carried out as per project requirements.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of architectural works.
• Identify and resolve architectural and construction-related issues at site.
• Coordinate with consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams for smooth execution of works.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Review shop drawings and assist in resolving drawing and site coordination issues.
• Monitor architectural works throughout the construction process and provide necessary technical recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation and updating of as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates regarding architectural works.
• Ensure proper coordination and timely completion of assigned architectural works.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Architect with a strong background in building construction and practical experience working with a main contractor or construction company. The candidate should have a good understanding of the complete construction process, from drawings and coordination through to project completion.

The candidate should be capable of coordinating with project teams, consultants, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that architectural works are executed properly and according to approved drawings and project requirements.

Basic to good working knowledge of AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM/Revit is required.
