Job summary

ELE Interior in Dubai seeks an Architect to lead the design and execution of architectural and interior projects across luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors. This hybrid role blends architecture with interior design, coordinating with third-party providers to ensure seamless integration.

You will manage design from concept to completion, supervise technical drawings and FF&E, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor junior designers while maintaining project timelines.

As an Architect at ELE Interior, you will lead the design andexecution of architectural and interior design projects, integrating botharchitectural and interior design principles. This hybrid role involves workingacross all project areas, including luxury residential, commercial, andhospitality. We're looking for someone with a strong drive for architecture anda passion for interior design. You will oversee the design process from conceptto completion, ensuring seamless integration between architecture, interiors,and external teams such as third-party suppliers or external architectureproviders. This role demands a balance of design leadership, technicalexpertise, and collaboration across multiple disciplines.

Main Scope of Responsibilities:

• Lead Projects : Take fullownership of architectural and interior design projects, ensuringhigh-quality design integration across spaces, finishes, andfunctionality. Lead the design development from initial concept to finalimplementation, ensuring alignment with the client’s vision andexpectations.
  
• ClientInteraction : Be the primary point of contact for clients forboth architectural and interior design aspects. Manage meetings, gatherfeedback, and refine designs as needed to meet client requirements.
  
• DesignStrategy : Oversee architectural concepts, space planning,materials, and finishes, ensuring they align with design intent whileremaining functional and aesthetically pleasing. Lead interior designstrategy for luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
  
• Cross-DisciplinaryCoordination : Collaborate closely with designers, contractors,consultants, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution. Liaise withthird-party suppliers or external teams (landscape companies, architectureproviders, etc.) for the successful integration of all design elements.
  
• Work withOther Teams: Manage and oversee internal teams such as 3Dvisualization, procurement, and design departments to ensure seamlessproject progression.
  
• Landscape& External Collaborations : Coordinate with third-partysuppliers or external teams to ensure cohesive exterior and interiordesign integration, particularly for residential, commercial, and hospitality properties.
  

Design Support & Technical Responsibilities:

• SpacePlanning & Layouts : Lead the creation of functional and aestheticfloor plans and elevations. Work to optimize space usage, ensuring designsmeet client specifications and local building codes.
  
• ArchitecturalDrawings & Visualizations: Manage and review detailed 2Darchitectural drawings to effectively communicate concepts.
  
• Material andFF&E Selection : Curate and select materials and furnishingsthat support the design vision, with special focus on luxury interiors andhigh-end finishes. Manage the logistics and procurement of largequantities of FF&E, including items sourced internationally (e.g.,China), and create and manage detailed specification sheets to ensurecompliance with hospitality standards.
  
• BuildingCodes & Regulations: Ensure all designs comply with localbuilding codes, safety standards, and environmental requirements, withstrong regional knowledge, across all sectors.
  

Client Communication & ProjectManagement:

• ClientPresentations : Lead client presentations and meetings to discussconcepts, design plans, and revisions, ensuring all stakeholders arealigned with the vision.
  
• ProjectUpdates & Reporting : Keep clients informed of project progress,addressing any issues and concerns promptly. Provide regular updates onarchitectural and interior design milestones.
  
• SiteSupervision & Quality Control : Visit project sites regularly toensure designs are being implemented as planned, addressing any on-siteissues and maintaining design integrity.
  
• Schedules andTimelines : Develop and manage project schedules for design andarchitecture phases, ensuring timely completion of each stage. Monitorprogress and address delays to maintain project timelines.
  
• Mentorship : Mentor andguide junior designers and other team members, fostering growth andcollaboration within the studio.
  
• Cross-DepartmentCollaboration : Collaborate with other departments to ensure aholistic approach to design execution. Work closely with the procurement and 3D visualization teams to align designs across all disciplines.

Sample Room & Material Management:

• MaterialOrganization : Manage the sample room, ensuring that materialsfrom local suppliers are well-organized and available for projects.
  

Requirements

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• SoftwareProficiency : Expertise in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and otherindustry-standard design tools. Familiarity with 3D rendering software and3D modeling is a plus, though 3D visualizations will be prepared byinternal or external resources.
  
• TravelFlexibility : Ability to travel as required for project-relatedactivities.
  
• Education : A Bachelor’sdegree in Architecture with experience and a strong interest inundertaking full Interior Design work.
  
• Experience : Provenexperience in luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
  
• Ability tolead projects from start to finish, managing both architectural andinterior design responsibilities.
