As a Junior Interior Designer atELE Interior, you will be integral to executing high-end design projects,working alongside Senior Designers to bring each vision to life. Your role willinvolve supporting every phase of the design process, from concept developmentthrough to completion, ensuring the highest standards of quality, creativity,and attention to detail. Main Scope of Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Senior Designer in completing all stepsof the assigned project.
- Act as a secondary point of contact for the assignedproject.
- Prepare all design documentation with the assistanceof the Senior Designer.
- Take on increasing responsibility and freedom witheach project while tracking personal performance and growth.
Design Support:
- Create Attractive Designs: Designlayouts for various projects, adhering to company style and clientrequirements.
- Mood Boards & Presentations: Support theSenior Designer in creating mood boards, 3D/2D presentations, mock-ups,and renderings for client presentations.
- Space Planning: Assist in creating spaceplanning proposals, taking creative input lead for smaller projects withguidance from the Senior Designer.
- FF&E & Procurement: Preparerelevant FF&E documentation and assist with procurement processes.
- 3D Visualization: Oversee the production of 3Dvisuals, reporting any issues (e.g., delays or misalignments) to theSenior Designer.
- Material and Finishes Schedules: Assist inpreparing material and finishes schedule documentation.
Client Interaction & Communication:
- Secondary Point of Contact: Join clientmeetings alongside the Senior Designer when possible, providing supportand updates.
- Client Communication: Ensure theclient's requests are promptly addressed and they are always updated onproject progress.
Project Management & SiteSupervision:
- Site Visits: Attend site visits to monitorproject progress when possible.
- Reporting: Create minutes of meetings (MOM)and reports after every site visit and meeting with contractors, updatingclients on key project details such as achievements, risks, and potentialdesign changes.
- Project Supervision: Manage andorganize materials, supervising both onsite and offsite, and communicatewith clients and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborating with the Team: Workalongside senior designers, 3D teams, and interns to achieve projectgoals. Provide advice and performance management for junior members whenneeded.
- Managing Deliverables: Assist inmanaging the Interior Design department's deliverables, ensuring deadlinesare met and standards are upheld.
- Training & Development: Providesupport, training, and advice to junior team members and interns, helpingwith their professional growth.
Professional Development:
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain industry knowledgeand trends to stay relevant in the field.
- Industry Events: Represent the company atindustry events to stay connected with the design community and gaininsights into emerging trends.
Documentation & Organization:
- Project Documentation: Keep clear,organized records for each project from onboarding to completion,following company standards. This includes emails, reports, client input,and key project documents.
- Approvals/Signatures: Collect andstore all signed forms in the designated folder for each assigned project.
Sample Room Management:
- Material Organization: Assist inkeeping the sample room organized and up-to-date, ensuring that newmaterials from local suppliers are available for project use.
Requirements
Technical Skills & Requirements:
- Software Proficiency: Strongworking knowledge of key industry software, including AutoCAD, Photoshop,Illustrator, SketchUp, PowerPoint, and InDesign, with familiarity in 3Dmodelling and rendering software.
- Travel Flexibility: Travel is a must for sitevisits, client meetings, and other project-related activities. This willinvolve frequent travel to various project locations, both within Dubaiand outside the country as required.
- Driving License & Vehicle: A valid UAEdriving license and access to a car is mandatory, as some project sitesmay require travel.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience in Luxury Residential, Hospitality, and Commercial InteriorDesign, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
