Job summary

GEMS Education in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Arabic Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons for primary students, supporting language development and cultural understanding in a stimulating, inclusive environment.

The role involves developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, using interactive and tech-enhanced methods, and maintaining accurate learning records while collaborating with colleagues and communicating with parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Arabic lessons suitable for Primary students.
• Develop students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet different learning abilities and needs.
• Use creative, interactive and technology-enhanced teaching methods.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate assessment and learning records.
• Establish a positive, well-managed and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students’ understanding of Arabic language, culture and heritage.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the Arabic department and the Inclusion Team.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and development.
• Participate in school events, meetings, professional development and extracurricular activities.
• Follow school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour, health and safety and student wellbeing.

Job description

The Arabic Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate Arabic lessons to Primary students. The successful candidate will support students’ language development, cultural understanding and confidence in speaking, reading and writing Arabic within a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
