Role Context

The Arabic Quality Assurance Lead will protect the accuracy, consistency, and cultural suitability of Arabic datasets used to train and evaluate advanced artificial intelligence systems. The role combines language review, contributor coaching, documentation management, workflow oversight, and quality improvement. The successful candidate will examine Arabic prompt-response pairs and related language content against detailed rubrics. They will also monitor trainer and reviewer performance, detect recurring errors, communicate project changes, answer language-specific questions, and ensure that contributors apply evolving guidelines consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Arabic AI training items and evaluate them against project-specific rubrics and quality standards.
• Assess grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, tone, register, fluency, terminology, and cultural appropriateness.
• Confirm that Arabic outputs preserve the intended meaning and follow all task instructions.
• Identify mistranslations, literal wording, unnatural phrasing, unsupported claims, ambiguity, dialect inconsistency, and incorrect terminology.
• Check Modern Standard Arabic content as well as regional language variations when required by the project.
• Review right-to-left formatting, diacritics, punctuation placement, and Arabic text presentation.
• Spot-check work completed by trainers, annotators, reviewers, and other quality assurance contributors.
• Deliver precise written feedback that clearly explains errors and required corrections.
• Escalate repeated, critical, or high-risk quality issues to the relevant project stakeholders.
• Communicate new guidelines, workflow changes, and quality expectations through Discord and other collaboration platforms.
• Answer contributor questions related to Arabic wording, grammar, register, dialect, translation fidelity, formatting, and cultural context.
• Contact inactive contributors, encourage participation, document follow-ups, and report availability concerns.
• Create and maintain Arabic style guides, FAQs, trackers, quality notes, reference examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Conduct remote onboarding and training sessions for Arabic trainers and reviewers.
• Align contributors on updated rubrics and language requirements as projects develop.
• Analyze recurring quality gaps and recommend practical improvements to review workflows.
• Support scalable quality assurance processes for high-volume Arabic AI data projects.
• Maintain accurate records of reviews, feedback, contributor performance, and corrective actions.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's or Master 's degree in Arabic, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
• Native or near-native Arabic proficiency with advanced reading and writing ability.
• Strong English proficiency for interpreting project guidelines and communicating detailed feedback.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Arabic writing, editing, translation, localization, content quality assurance, education, annotation, or language review.
• Thorough command of Arabic grammar, spelling, punctuation, diacritics, tone, register, and right-to-left formatting.
• Strong understanding of Modern Standard Arabic and regional Arabic variations.
• Ability to evaluate language content objectively against complex rubrics.
• Experience detecting translation errors, unnatural phrasing, terminology inconsistency, cultural issues, and meaning changes.
• Previous responsibility for leading or supporting trainers, annotators, editors, reviewers, or QA teams is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple quality workflows remotely.
• Confidence using Google Sheets, Google Docs, Discord, dashboards, trackers, and project management platforms.
• Ability to explain corrections clearly without creating confusion or inconsistency.
• Experience with AI training data, large language models, prompt-response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM review is advantageous.
• Availability to participate in an AI interview, a domain-specific assessment, and a recruiter interview.
