Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a passionate and skilled Demi Chef de Partie specializing in Asian cuisine to join our Culinary team. You will assist in preparing and presenting authentic and contemporary Asian dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and guest satisfaction.

In this role, you will work closely with the culinary team, maintain mise en place, follow HACCP standards, and support junior colleagues. A Diploma in Culinary Arts and at least 2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef de Partie specializing in Asian cuisine within a luxury hotel or high-quality restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of Asian culinary techniques, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Experience in one or more Asian cuisines such as Southeast Asian, Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, or Pan-Asian concepts.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality Asian cuisine in accordance with established recipes and Hyatt standards.
• Assist in the day-to-day operation of the assigned kitchen section.
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion control, and presentation of all dishes.
• Maintain proper mise en place and ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management and requisitions.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food products.
• Support the training and development of Commis Chefs and junior colleagues.
• Work closely with the culinary team to deliver memorable dining experiences.
• Contribute ideas for menu enhancements and seasonal offerings.
