Job summary

Hilton is seeking a Commis Chef to prepare and present high quality dishes in line with brand standards. You will also handle mis-en-place for upcoming menus and support the kitchen brigade to ensure efficient service.

With a focus on food safety, hygiene, and teamwork, the role involves contributing to cost controls, maintaining cleanliness, and collaborating across departments to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or Apprentice Chef
• Proof of completion in a basic food hygiene course
• Completion of an accredited commercial cookery course or trade apprenticeship
• Experience multi-tasking and working in an environment with rigorous standards
• NVQ Level 2 is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high quality dishes to deliver excellent guest experience
• Prepare mis-en-Place for relevant menus
• Contribute to kitchen revenue through food cost control
• Keep working areas clean and tidy and prevent cross contamination
• Assist other departments and maintain good working relationships
• Report maintenance hygiene and hazard issues
• Comply with health, safety and food safety regulations
• Meet health and hygiene requirements
