Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Application Support Specialist in Abu Dhabi to ensure smooth operation of business applications. You will provide multi-level support, perform end-to-end deployments, monitor performance, and drive incident resolution across development, testing, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of application architecture and runtime environments (web servers, middleware, APIs, microservices, containers).
• Application troubleshooting – average to expert level across logs, runtime behavior, integrations and backend systems.
• Application deployment experience with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Database expertise (SQL, schema, data access troubleshooting) including DB connectivity issues.
• Experience with solution monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2/L3 support for business applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Perform detailed application troubleshooting across architecture, runtime, integrations, and backend components.
• Manage and execute application deployments across development, UAT, and production environments.
• Investigate and resolve database-related issues including SQL queries, schema validation, and data access errors.
• Monitor application performance using solution monitoring tools and respond proactively to alerts.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure seamless application operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and prepare technical documentation for recurring issues.
• Support change management, release management, and production go-live activities.
• Maintain application logs, dashboards, and monitoring configurations. Ensure compliance with internal standards, security policies, and operational procedures.
