Job summary

Omicron electronics GmbH in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to serve as the technical lead for MEA region applications. You will own application activities, support power system assets, and collaborate with regional teams to drive solutions across the asset lifecycle.

The role requires traveling up to 50%, strong English and Arabic, and a proactive, customer-focused approach to delivering application-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

• Education in electrical engineering.
• Several years of experience in testing of power systems and primary applications.
• Customer oriented with proactive networking.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.
• Fluent in English and Arabic; French/Turkish or other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical point of contact for MEA region and collaborate with sales, applications, product management, marketing and regional management.
• Support primary equipment applications for power system assets (transformers, GIS/AIS, switchgear, cables, substations).
• Assist commissioning, testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting across asset lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise during strategic customer visits for utilities, EPCs, and industrial clients.
• Contribute to regional business development by identifying customer needs and technical opportunities.
• Monitor regional trends, standards and competitive developments; propose improvements.
• Participate in regional user meetings and events; contribute to presentations and technical papers.
