Job summary

Amazon Middle East and North Africa FZ-LLC is seeking an AMET Head of Pre-Construction to lead the pre-construction design phases for large-scale fulfillment projects across AMET. You will guide site selection, budget estimates, concept through detail design, and ensure construction readiness while aligning with timelines, quality, and financial targets.

You will manage a 3+ year pipeline, coach talent, and work across real estate, design, and construction.

Qualifications

Experience in construction or engineering project management, real estate development, or architecture/design.
15+ years of experience in construction management or pre-construction with leadership responsibility.
10+ years leading development and pre-construction for logistics facilities or critical infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

Lead pre-construction activities for complex projects with Design & Construction and Real Estate teams.
Identify risks, optimize resources, and ensure timely design development and cost control.
Make critical decisions and escalate as needed to keep programs on track.
Direct cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement in pre-construction.
Apply regulatory and customer requirements, pushing for innovative solutions.
Communicate with business partners and stakeholders on pre-construction matters.
Troubleshoot issues and navigate multicultural teams to resolution.
Travel up to 50% across AMET for site evaluation and construction oversight.
