Job summary

Amazon Middle East and North Africa FZ-LLC is seeking an AMET Head of Pre-Construction to spearhead engineering design phases for major fulfillment centers and logistics projects across AMET. You will drive site selection, budgeting, concept design, and construction readiness while building a 3+ year pipeline to meet capacity goals.

You will lead large cross-functional teams, manage risks, and ensure timelines, quality, and budget targets are achieved.

Qualifications

Experience in construction or engineering project management, real estate development, or architecture/design.
15+ years of experience in construction management or pre-construction with progressive leadership.
10+ years leading development and pre-construction for logistics facilities, warehouses, industrial facilities, or critical infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architecture, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

Lead pre-construction activities (site selection, site evaluation, budget estimate, concept/design, schematic/design, detail design).
Identify process improvements, analyze design conflicts, evaluate resources, and mitigate risks.
Assess complex situations requiring leadership visibility and sound judgment.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver project deliverables with minimal supervision.
Apply analytical skills to navigate regulations and customer requirements.
Create and own written communications to partners and stakeholders on pre-construction matters.
Build collaborative relationships within Amazon and with external stakeholders.
Travel up to 50% across AMET region to support site evaluations and construction oversight.
