Job summary

Confidential in Dubai seeks a candidate with air freight/cargo operations experience to coordinate shipments with forwarders, airlines, and handling agents. The role involves tracking cargo from airport delivery through departure, checking documents, and resolving operational issues.

The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage multiple shipments, and work independently using standard air cargo systems and Excel. Dubai-based office, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of air freight/cargo operations experience preferred.
• Experience with airline cargo department, GSSA/GSA, freight forwarder or cargo handling company is suitable.
• Good knowledge of DXB/DWC air cargo operations preferred.
• Experience dealing with airlines and dnata/ground handlers.
• Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
• Must be able to work independently and handle urgent shipments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarder customers.
• Coordinate with airlines for booking, cargo acceptance, flight status and uplift.
• Coordinate with dnata/ground handling agents and cargo terminals.
• Follow up cargo from delivery at the airport until final uplift/departure.
• Check AWB, cargo details, documentation and airline cut-off requirements.
• Provide regular shipment status updates to customers.
• Handle operational issues such as delays, offloads, cargo discrepancies and missing documents.
• Coordinate trucking/road feeder services when required.
• Handle multiple shipments and follow up closely until completion.
• Coordinate internally with our pricing team once a booking is confirmed.
• Maintain professional relationships with airline cargo teams, ground handlers, freight forwarders and other operational partners.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and other standard office/air cargo systems.
