Job summary

Damen Shipyards Group seeks an AI Solution Developer to join the AI Value Lab and rapidly translate business opportunities into PoCs, prototypes, AI agents, automations, and scalable solutions that improve decision making.

You will build AI-powered applications and copilots using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Services, and related tools, while collaborating with business stakeholders and tech teams to enable adoption and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Digital Innovation, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in solution development, automation, software engineering, business applications, or digital transformation.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience working with AI technologies or AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build AI solutions and PoCs, prototypes, and MVPs.
• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications, copilots, intelligent agents, and automation solutions.
• Create integrations between AI solutions and business systems, APIs, and data sources.
• Support transition of prototypes into production-ready solutions.

The Role As an AI Solution Developer, you will serve as the technical explorer and hands‑on builder within the AI Value Lab. You will rapidly translate business opportunities into proof‑of‑concepts, prototypes, AI agents, automations, and scalable solutions that improve how people work and make decisions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, Data & AI specialists, AI Ambassadors, developers, and technology teams to identify opportunities, test emerging technologies, and transform successful experiments into reliable business solutions. The role requires a balance between technical curiosity, practical problem solving, experimentation, business understanding, and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Build AI Solutions
• Translate business challenges into Proof of Concepts (PoCs), prototypes, and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications, copilots, intelligent agents, and automation solutions
• Build solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Services, and related technologies
• Create integrations between AI solutions, business systems, APIs, and data sources
• Support the transition of successful prototypes into production‑ready business solutions
• Continuously improve solution performance, reliability, and user experience
• Explore & Experiment
• Evaluate emerging AI models, tools, frameworks, and technologies
• Test new development approaches including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and similar platforms
• Experiment with prompt engineering, agent orchestration, workflow automation, and knowledge integration
• Identify innovative AI use cases and opportunities across the business
• Contribute to the development of AI best practices, standards, and methodologies
• Collaborate & Enable Adoption
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand challenges and opportunities
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Create demonstrations, training materials, and documentation to support adoption
• Support the measurement and monitoring of business value generated by AI initiatives

What We're Looking For

Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, Digital Innovation, or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience in solution development, automation, software engineering, business applications, or digital transformation
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience working with AI technologies or AI‑enabled solutions
• Experience delivering business applications, automation solutions, or digital products in a professional environment
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to solve complex business problems
• Experience working in fast‑moving, innovation‑focused environments is highly desirable
