Job summary

talabat is seeking a Manager, Data Scientist - AI to lead a team of data scientists within the Applied AI Tribe. You will own the roadmap, deliver ML and generative AI solutions, and drive measurable business value across product and operations.

You will shape and execute a full ML lifecycle, focusing on LLMs, agentic systems, and data enrichment at scale. Strong leadership, collaboration with product and engineering teams, and a track record of production-ready AI deliverables are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data science, ML engineering, and/or generative AI, including shipping models to production.
• Proven leadership of a data science or ML team.
• Experience building ML systems in an online consumer product environment is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists building and shipping ML and generative AI systems.
• Own the team's technical roadmap and delivery across AI initiatives.
• Oversee full ML lifecycle: data pipelines, feature engineering, model training, deployment and monitoring.
• Drive adoption of LLMs and agentic AI for data enrichment and automated decisions.
