Zayed University in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Digital Content Specialist for the Library and Learning Commons. You will manage digital platforms, create AI‑driven solutions, and support immersive technologies to enhance information delivery and learning experiences.

The role covers development from planning through deployment, ongoing maintenance, and user support, while collaborating with librarians on AI‑driven discovery and metadata initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, or Library Science.
• Minimum 4–6 years of digital content management, library systems, or related hands‑on experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Generative AI tools (LLMs), prompt engineering, or immersive technologies (VR/AR).
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation; familiarity with APIs and data handling.
• Multimedia production skills with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Camtasia) and digital design tools.
• Bilingual (Arabic and English) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web‑based applications and tools for content delivery and library operations.
• Develop and implement scripts or applications (Python or R) to automate tasks and clean metadata.
• Support digital projects from concept to deployment, including milestones for development, testing and launch.
• Evaluate open‑source or commercial digital solutions and provide technical recommendations.
• Assist with AI tools deployment and knowledge base updates for library services.
• Collaborate with librarians on AI‑driven resource discovery, metadata enhancement, and collection development.
• Set up and maintain VR/AR hardware and immersive displays for student and faculty use.
• Produce and edit multimedia learning objects for information and media literacy instruction.
• Deliver technical training sessions on library‑supported emerging technologies.
• Maintain documentation, version control, security, and accessibility in line with policies.
