Job summary

Zayed University in Dubai invites applications for a Digital Content Specialist who will lead the technical production, maintenance and user support of the Library's digital platforms, with a focus on AI tools and web‑based services.

The role spans digital platform development, AI tool deployment, multimedia content production, documentation, user training, and accessibility compliance, ensuring high availability and secure, user‑friendly digital services for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, or Library Science.
• 4–6 years in digital content management, library systems or digital platforms.
• Experience with Generative AI tools (LLMs) or immersive technologies preferred.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation; familiarity with APIs and data handling.
• Web development knowledge: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML.
• Multimedia production: video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia) and design tools.
• Hardware familiarity with VR headsets, tablets, and interactive displays.
• Bilingual Arabic and English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in design, development, and maintenance of web-based applications and tools to facilitate content delivery.
• Develops scripts or applications to automate library tasks and enhance user experience.
• Supports digital projects from concept to launch with milestones.
• Explores open-source or commercial solutions with technical recommendations.
• Supports AI tool development, testing, and knowledge base updates.
• Collaborates with librarians to implement AI-driven resource discovery and metadata enhancements.
• Facilitates setup and maintenance of immersive technology for students and faculty.
• Troubleshoots issues ensuring high availability and performance.
• Produces and edits multimedia learning objects supporting information literacy.
• Delivers technical training sessions on emerging technologies.
• Maintains documentation, version control, security, and accessibility.
• Collects usage data for data-driven improvements.
• Creates APIs and integrations between systems.
