Job summary

Confidential in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade GenAI models and AI-powered services for an AI-native bank. Qualifications

• 6+ years of production-grade AI/ML or GenAI experience.
• Proven track record delivering LLM, RAG, or agentic AI apps beyond PoC.
• Strong experience with Databricks, Azure, AWS, MLflow.
• Proficient in Python; Kubernetes; CI/CD and modern dev practices.
• Experience with AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability.
• Experience in banking/fintech or regulated environments is a plus.

As an AI Engineer, you'll play a key role in building the models, agents, and GenAI services that power an AI-native bank. Working closely with Data Engineering, AI Product Management, and Platform teams, you'll develop and deploy intelligent solutions that drive automation, customer experiences, and operational efficiency at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy machine learning models, GenAI services, and AI-powered applications in production environments.
• Develop agentic workflows, orchestration solutions, and AI services integrated into banking processes.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search capabilities, and grounding services.
• Create and maintain evaluation frameworks, behavioural regression testing, and monitoring processes for AI systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and deliver high-value AI use cases.
• Apply modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, testing, observability, and AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and deploying AI, machine learning, or GenAI solutions in production.
• Proven experience delivering LLM, RAG, or agentic AI applications beyond proof-of-concept stage.
• Strong experience with cloud AI/ML platforms such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, and MLflow.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
• Experience building AI evaluation frameworks, monitoring solutions, and production-grade observability.
• Experience within banking, fintech, or another highly regulated environment is advantageous.
