Job summary

SBS is seeking a forward-thinking full-stack engineer with a strong data backend focus to build AI-enabled pipelines and features. The role involves integrating SBS AI Platform services into product surfaces and APIs, and delivering governance by design across RBAC, data classification, and auditability.

You will work with Python, SQL, Kafka, and orchestration tools to ship AI-powered functionality while collaborating with QA to ensure observability and robust delivery.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data/backend or full-stack engineering, across the stack.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; streaming (Kafka), data lakes/warehouses, vector stores, orchestration.
• Experience with AI-enabled engineering — LLM serving, model gateways, prompt engineering, agentic frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate data pipelines powering AI use cases, aligned to SBS Data & AI Platform standards.
• Integrate SBS AI Platform services into DBS and OB via APIs, SDKs and event contracts.
• Implement governance by design: RBAC, data classification, lineage, PII handling, audit logs, EU AI Act traceability.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery and support QA with test data and observability.
